Google's AI revolutionizes online shopping

Plus: Preventing Voice Cloning Fraud, Meta's New Speech AI, Vercel AI SDK

In this week's edition of The AI Breakdown, we have the Google AI try-on feature, an AI Audio Classifier to help with voice cloning fraud, Meta’s new AI model for speech, and Vercel’s open-source project to speed up AI development.

Google has introduced two new features to enhance online shopping experiences.

The first feature utilizes generative AI to provide a virtual try-on experience for apparel, allowing users to see how clothes look on a diverse range of real models. I hope they have the model "medium dadbod"; if not, I've got some availability.

The second feature incorporates machine learning and visual matching algorithms to help users refine their product search based on specific criteria like color, style, and pattern, presenting options from various online stores.

ElevenLabs has introduced the AI Speech Classifier, a tool that allows users to upload audio samples and identify if they contain ElevenLabs' AI-generated audio, aiming to promote transparency and responsible use of generative AI.

This is nice coming from the source that has created most of the AI voice cloning stuff that recently went viral. Hopefully, other big players like ChatGPT will be introducing safety standards.

Voicebox is a generative AI model for speech that can generalize across tasks and achieve state-of-the-art performance. It can synthesize speech in multiple languages, perform noise removal, content editing, and style conversion. The demo shows how easy it is to edit out background noise, such as a dog barking, from your recording.

Vercel seems like they are going at light speed with all the things they are releasing lately. This project helps you build AI-powered applications with React, Svelte, and Vue in no time.

🎧 Listen Up!

I usually focus on the fun, techy, and creative side of AI, but I've started diving into more business-related topics. It's interesting hearing from non-technical business leaders on how they are implementing and approaching AI from a business point of view.
